SECCA/NCMA and Artview

June 8, 2009

SECCA’s Inside Out: Artists in the Community II program has been getting some great attention lately, and we thought we’d share the love. First up is a short but sweet article in the North Carolina Museum of Art’s newsletter Preview (see below). For those of you who haven’t heard, SECCA is an operating entity of the North Carolina Museum of Art (an agency of the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources). And while your at it, check out the Art Museum’s blog Untitled. It’s a great behind the scenes look at our cultural neighbor to the east.

And, in case you missed it, we were featured on the cover of the Winston-Salem Journal’s most recent Artview, which outlines the summer arts scene in Winston. In addition to the editorial on the program, Artview editor Michael Huie interviewed our very own curator Steven Matijcio on the arts, SECCA, and curatorial practice. Click on the image to see the full story and be sure to check out all of the great events going on around town.
